Welcome back to the blog
Hello, friends.
It has been a long time since I’ve tried to write a blog post. I had my reasons, but it is time to dust off this little corner of the internet and settle into things with a little more frequency.
I have been spending my time recently updating and polishing off edits for Catching Shadows, which is due to be released this Friday, October 18th. You can find the pre-order here.
I’ve also been starting to play with all that is to come with The Danuverse.
So far, here’s the list of projects we have slated for the rest of the year of 2024, and into 2025:
A fantasy short story collection, independent of any other material, but where the stories are based in The Danuverse. Presently titled Beyond the Veil.
Another short story collection, this one of Five Realms material I could not fit into the main stories, or alternate-universe tellings of events, etc., presently titled Dark Songs of the Gods. It will fit between Catching Shadows and the 2027~ release of Sowing Starlight, which will be the next novel where we hear from Maeve, Rodan, and the Realms crew.
The first novel in the Dark Wings series, Under the Edge of Night.
Star Marked, a standalone Danuverse story.
There are other projects, I have a list of approximately two dozen novels or collections I need to turn my time to at some point or another, but those are the most pressing.
I’ve also been mocking up the graphics for these stories. So far we have this for Beyond the Veil:
And for Dark Songs of the Gods, we have this cover:
I will admit that sometimes it’s easier to work on graphics rather than writing 😅
That said, writing has been going fairly well altogether. We’re powering through some of those short stories and working here and there on the next novels. Since editing was such a whirlwind there for a minute, there was a lot of time needing devoted.
I do intend to be on here more often. I’m working against some under-medication and other external stressors, but I’ve been incorporating more of a daily time management schedule that seems to be doing something. Hopefully it will continue. Please be patient with this neurodivergent author. She’s trying.
I hope to see more of you soon.
Cheers,
